                                         BICAR®


BICAR® sodium bicarbonate produced by the ammonia-soda process developed by Solvay is a neutral, non-corrosive, non-irritant, non-toxic and easy-to-handle product, which can be applied in a wide range of operating conditions.

It is used in various applications as for example: Food, Animal Feed, Detergent, Domestic Use, Pharmaceutical, etc.

Sodium bicarbonate BICAR® is available in various grades of purity and particle size to meet specific market requirements (link to Solvay Bicar website).

The technical grade BICAR® TEC has proven to be very efficient in air emission control for the neutralization of acids in various industries like waste to energy, metallurgy, cement production and industrial boilers, including very highly contaminated flue gases (link to SOLVAir® Solutions).



7 production plants in Europe :

Solvay's seven sodium bicarbonate plants are strategically located in continental Europe to achieve the double benefit of close proximity to raw materials with closeness to their major customers, thus ensuring good logistics.

 
SOLVAir® supplies BICAR® TEC in :

  • bulk : full loads of  20 to 30 ton, delivered by truck equipped with pneumatic unloading systems
  • bulk bags : medium-sized packages in 1 to 1.2 ton - woven coated PP with inner liner PE - 4 loops with discharging spout
  • bags : 25 kg PE bags on covered pallets of net loads of 1 to 1.4 ton.

 

Because BICAR® TEC is not a dangerous product, its transportation and storage are not subject to specific regulations.
